Phone Verification For EVERY Withdrawal??

So my MACBOOK crashed because 1/4 water spilled on the keyboard.

I'm now going the PC route and have a temp computer now. Logged into my accounts all went fine. Even withdrew from one (testing my limits) after logging in with 0 cookies established and 0 history and the funds are in my account now!

No method to their madness..

I called in before with this issue and they told me to clear cookies and data , so now when it happens I'll usually just log in with a new user account or browser and it seems to not ask for verification.

Same with asking to provide a SS# , I had that recently , just logged out and back in with a new browser and it was gone, and never asked again

Yea they told me to clear cookies and data if it happens...but it didnt help. Strange that this is the only account that it does it on.

This may be a stupid question, but....

I'm assuming these accounts are attached to eBay accounts, and if so, have you tried making a new PayPal with the same info (name, address, etc) and just linking that new PP to the eBay account? If not, why not?

Just curious, as if this were happening to me it would be the first thing I'd try after calling PayPal didn't work.

It is a business paypal account and no I have not made a second account to link. I am just running through the phone verifications and calling it a day. Takes 2 minutes to do both verifications...annoying hassle but after 25 minutes on the phone with them and the issue not being fixed then I say eff it.

So....again, why not just create a new account? So easy to do.

Why do I want to make a new business account for such an issue? I am still able to withdraw and I have no holds on my funds, even from ebay. And the account is a month old. Dont fix what isnt broken...in this case, its not fully broken yet. Just giving issues.

I was just trying to find out if there was an issue with creating a new PayPal account with the same info and attaching it to the old eBay account, red flags or whatnot.

Technically, each person is allowed one personal and one business paypal account. Multiple accounts can raise suspicions and get you shut down. Will it mean an automatic shut down or that you'll get flagged right away? No...but it can and does happen.

IDK. Haven't run into this issue...yet. But if it happened EVERY withdraw, I'd create a new account and be done with it. But that's me.

Switched browsers and logged in with Chrome...made a withdrawal and had no phone verification requirement. Now tell me why there is a phone verification with Firefox that has established cookies, history and cache but no verification with Chrome that has nothing established and logged into for the first time with that browser. There really is no method to the madness.

When this happened to my paypal account i had to let it sit for about a month until that message went away and was able to use the account to withdraw regularly

Has anyone been prompt and forced to do the phone verification to be able to move the money when sending funds to another Paypal account by sending money as a service or paying an invoice?

When it happens are you able to switch browsers and its fixed?

This happened to me on 2 accounts when I tried to Add a Bank account to each one.

It asked for a phone number and I gave them my tracfone #. Both of them failed.

What can I do now?

Try to switch the browser
Or come back with same browser after 24h and most of the time you will be fine.
9 out of last 10 times for me works
As a fact similar situation with MAIL.COM if they ask verification i just connect with anothger browser and fine to go.
