Are paypal transfers instant?
 

I recently tried mediamogulme with a paypal virtual card and was suppose to only charged my account 1 dollar but for some odd reason they give me a authorization charged of 29.95,i call them and they that charged will disappear.To make a long story short i don't 29.95 in my bank account and was morning if i put the funds in my bank account by torrorow would i be ok and would that charged return to my paypal account or bank account?

I had this happen on something i used a paypal Vcc on and had 2 charges of 29.95 as well i thought some one had got my Vcc and made charges to it but it seems its something paypal dose. I got limted before i every got a chance to see if it was put back in my account.

they probably authorized the card, not charged it (maybe)

is this $29.95 some kind of fee for the plug-in?? i really hope not

No it did'nt do this every time i used the Vcc only 2 times i dont know what it was for that made the charge.

Maybe it was like when you use credit card to buy gas and pay at the pump and only get $5 in gas but the gas station charges u authorized $50 charge to the card.

I think its just a way if u get limted paypal can get the money back

I know some stores or merchants charge twice, but one of them stays on temporary authorization and after 3 or 4 days it will disapear, and the other duplicate goes from temporary authorization to posted transaction(on the visa or mc account), did you have more than $39.99, or $79.98 in your paypal account?, or maybe has something to do with I have read that: when you make a charge or purchase with your pluging, the same amount will be put on hold, meaning if you buy something of $50 with your paypal plugin, and you have say $120 available on your paypal account, after the $50 purchase you will have $20 available left on your paypal account, and $50 on hold(on your paypal acount), and the remaining $50 went to the merchant account.

have you made any plugin tests with a real merchant account?

why would paypal limit a transfer of >$100, and not a purchase with the plugin of >$100?,
I guess paypal should use the same sensitive security algorith, to determinate the account limitation.

Yeah i used it to load my debit card which was instant and money went out of paypal instant then about 2-3 days later the same amount was take again causeing the account to go into the - then any money i got from people went to bring the amount back up then after 3 days it all was back in my account again.

Its very annoying and i dont see the point of it and why they take there money then put a hold on the same amount of money

They're not really "instant." In 3-5 days the money is officially taken out of your bank account.

No the money went out right after words instantly i was able to goto the atm with in 10 mins and have the cash in my hands and my paypal was - the amount loaded onto the card. Then 3 days later the same amount is deducted again from paypal leaveing me in the -.

Like when i did it the first time i had $102.44 in my paypal account. I made a paypal vcc and used it to load my personal debit card then i loaded it whola i had $100 in my debit card then i log onto paypal and i have $2.44 in my account which was right then 3 days passes i log into paypal and now im -$100 in the neg and any payments i recive for about 3 days will got tourge bringing it back to + then on the 3rd day i will have access to the funds that was i recived them 3 days and my account is back to normal.


So i dont see the point of 2x chargeing when they got there money instantly.

It dose not work like this with a bank issued debit card i can goto walmarts and if i have 100 in my bank and i spend $100 then it comes out of my account and im left with 0.00 and in 3 days i still have 0.00 they dont put a 100.00 hold on the money so i think its a paypal thing to keep people from cashing out if they get limted.

So even if u use the Vcc to get cash out u would think it would be quicker but in the long run it takes you longer cause of that dam hold they place and any payments made when theres a hold gose tourge the hold.

No, an Instant Bank Transfer sends the money instantly to the recipient.

However, Paypal cannot immediately retrieve the funds from your bank account until 3-5 days later. I've seen this through my own experience and from the numerous guides about Paypal located on eBay.
