Paypal asking SS and no option for entering EIN
 

I login to paypal on the computer and I get message that I can't get passed requesting SS number and bday. I am running a stealth account, so I would like to enter my EIN number, but that's not an option they give me. Anyone have any answers on how to go about doing that?

how long have you been operating the account?

your activity could have raised flags.. do not try to add an EIN during account infancy

They are only asking for SS number and date of birth. This account is only about 5 months old. My other stealth accounts have never had this issue with paypal and I've been running stealth accounts for over 3 years. Just strange

are you limited for not providing tax information when they requested it?

PayPal will request this for two reasons. Either they need it for TAX-ID, or they are suspicious of your account.

Usually, when they want a TAX-ID number, they will give you the option of entering EITHER an SSN or EIN (but for the EIN you have to upgrade to a business account).

If they are asking for IDENTITY VERIFICATION, then they will ONLY accept an SSN. If that is the case, then it would seem that SOMETHING aroused their suspicions about your account.

Problem now is even when they were asking for EIN, it goes into a loop.
So Click EIN -> Upgrade account to business -> Can't upgrade due to limitation -> go to resolution for help = dead end.
