Lloyds Bank / Paypal

Morning gents,

Just wanting to confirm that I'm doing the right thing here....

I have 4 stealth accounts on ebay and PayPal....

All my stealth accounts on PayPal have the same Sort Code but different account numbers.

This is ok right?

Could be wrong but Lloyds accounts don't like mismatched name deposits

Re: Lloyds Bank / Paypal

Im just wondering from the PayPal point of view.

Can my sort code link accounts? - Im guessing not?

No it cant but if you start using Lloyds expect all your accounts to be frozen, money held for 2 months (or more) until proof of where it came from and you won't be able to bank with the group again.

Re: Lloyds Bank / Paypal

Ive been banking with Lloyds for 28 years (since account was opened at birth).

Any ideas on a new bank account then which is more lenient?

Doesn't matter how long you've banked with them, they DO NOT and WILL NOT accept mismatch name deposits.

RBS
BOS
HSBC
COOP
Barclays
Nationwide
Santander

I still say to avoid Halifax, others may disagree but they probably haven't had first hand experience.

Bos and rbs, just be sure to space out opening and closing accounts or you will flagged and they will close the lot

I find Smile.com a very good bank as well

I agree with Callidus.. Halifax are toughening up and lloyds is a bank to be avoided.

It costs banks money to open and close savings accounts, so if you start to abuse it, then they will get upset.

By abusing it.....do you mean if I place £100 each account each day, they will get funny?

Banks like it when you keep some money in :thumb:

That amount is fine, dont withdraw thousands from PP at a time

Re: Lloyds Bank / Paypal

So 3000k over 30 days is reasonable but not at once?

Re: Lloyds Bank / Paypal

I think Halifax & Lloyds are same company. Their websites are very similar and the opening of accounts is the same too..... so, ideally stay away from both :)

Natwest & RBS have similar sites so I presume they are same company.

If its an old account yes that *should* be fine

If you do only withdraw every other day and make it £1.5k a month that seems better IMO
