Paypal~This phone is not in your name?
 

So I have spent some time trying to get Paypal to verify my account.
They verified my Citibank account, and all other information but when it came to the cell phone I was using (which is in my son's name) they were able to verify the phone with a text but when Paypals automated came through and I had to enter their 4 digit code and I entered it on the paypal site an error message came up saying "This number doesn't appear to be registered in your name". What do I do here. I cannot use my own cell phone as it is registered in my real name. Help please.

Tracphone or other prepaid phone.

Anywhere really.
CVS, Walgreen, Best Buy, Walmart, Kmart, Sears, A lot of convenience stores, tracfone.com, Family Dollar, etc...

I use a couple phone apps too.
But a prepaid is easiest for most and extremely reliable.

Thanks I just purchased a Trac phone from Dollar General but know PayPal have blocked my account from adding another number and a message saying sorry we cannot verify your account at this time. So I guess this paypal account is history. I still have about $80.00 in the account that I can't even get to.

Got Google a few weeks ago and the number would not get incoming calls for some reason.

Thank you. I got a $30 Trac phone today at Dollar General and it was on sale for $10.00.

I really truly think it's just a security feature. Comes at different times. To prevent funds from moving.

I have tracfones on my accounts, log in through the same user everytime but still get this issue. When I try to verify the account through the tracfone I am told the tracfone is not in my name. I called in twice to try to have them work around it, one told me it was because my bank account wasn't linked. I then called in on an account with a bank account linked but was told I needed to add my social to the account to get around it. After telling her I was not aware I need to add my social to send money and telling her I would not do it, she told me there was nothing I could do then.

They are useless.

Did you create the accounts with the trac fones? Not add cake number and then tracfone. The only time I ever get it's not in your name is attempting to use paypal digit gifts. Says not in my name ever time but any other time it will call or text no problems.
