180 days since limitation, and you will be able to withdraw

what does the parting ways email say?

There are a few different emails you can get.
As long as they dont mention you providing ID in the email, i would think you would be fine.

Re: paypal limited funds on hold

Okay, so by reading aspkin replies, and doing some research, there is DEFINITELY a loophole to this issue. I have had some accounts limited and had to wait the whole 6 months for them to be released, BUT had I known earlier of this trick, I wouldn't have been in such a bind :(
1. refund your buyer from paypal
2. message them telling them you have had to switch payment accounts and in the message include the payment address to where you would like payment sent (a new paypal).

* This will give you access to funds and does not connect your paypal account (the new one) to your ebay! Paypal then has no money to hold of yours and you are paid out. It's A LOT of work if you sell large quantities, but MUCH better then having your funds held for 6 months, and it WORKS! :)

Re: paypal limited funds on hold

this is the e-mail that i received ...please tell me what you think .....

After reviewing your PayPal account, we’ve determined there to be excessive
risk involved in doing business with you and we’d like to begin parting
ways in a manner that is least disruptive to your business.

If there is any money in your account balance, it will be held for 180 days
(from the date of the last payment you received) to cover any disputes that
might be opened by your buyers.

After 180 days, we may ask you to provide us with a proof of identity and a
proof of address before you can withdraw any remaining balance.

If there are outstanding buyer complaints open against you, you can refund
your customers via the Resolution Centre in your PayPal account.

We reserve the right to close any account reported to be involved in
possible high-risk behaviour. In the event of a dispute, we’ll try to
recover the money from you by debiting your PayPal balance first and, if
there are insufficient funds in your PayPal balance, we reserve the right
to collect your debt to PayPal by any other legal means.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter and
regret any inconvenience it may cause you.

You should get an email saying your funds are available for withdrawal.

Sometimes they release part of money also before 180 days..
Their decision is made every 30 days...

Re: paypal limited funds on hold

You can try and call them if 60 days already passed, sometimes it works as they review the account for potential risk and might decide to release your funds for withdrawal soon, worked for me when i tried it. Also you can file a complaint against them with financial services and this also i heard works but you better make sure the account then has real details so you dont get into trouble
