Beware!!!! Dont EVER use Netspend Metabank
 

I did not know about Ebay Stealth before trying to get back on Ebay a couple of months ago and went with someone who told me that Netspend is a good virtual bank. I opened an account with Netspend who sent me an account and credit card with Metabank. I tried to use this to verify with Paypal who would not accept. After doing my own research online I found this site, that said Metabank could not be used with Paypal.

I never made any transactions ie deposits or withdrawls with Metabank and closed my account. Yesterday I received a letter in the mail from Frontline Asset Strategies saying Metabank had sent my account to this credit collection agency with an out standing balance of $939.21. WTF.
Still waiting to hear back from someone. I can understand a closing fee for closing the account but not for that much. They must be crazy.
Has anyone else had this sort of thing happen to them?

sounds like an error then if you never used it unless they got crazy fees

Perhaps you need to find new friends or people who give you bad advice. Netspend, Metabank, and 90% of the cards DO NOT WORK.

The bill has to be an error. If you never used it, I could see owing a month fee of some sort, but not $900+, that is totally insane. If I had a bill collector coming after me with a $900+ closing fee on a service I did not use, then I would tell them to take me to court. I would make sure to use words like unconscionable, and usurious.
