Paypal Finally favoring Sellers over Buyers????
 

Recently, I bought this iphone on this site. I received the item, it was in totally non working condition. I opened a dispute, and escalated to claim. I told them I can provide all proofs necessary to resolve the dispute. Few days later, I received an email saying "Sorry, We're unable to resolve the transaction in your favor at this time" I was shocked, My paypal account is aged, with many transaction and only 2 disputes and they still favored seller over buyer. Luckily, I paid with my debit card. I will soon be open a chargeback. I am not letting this scammer get away that easily.

I doubt this case alone is anything to go by. Buyer has to have an upperhand, or at least an illusion of one. Thats how you make people calm and confident that they can spend their money.

I would say buyer and sellers are always 50/50
I rarely loose a case a buyer opens unless it is legitimate error or problem on my side.

sporting goods mostly along with shipping/packing materials plus a mix of other items but never clothing, electronics or phone related in any way.

I crushed it on air filters last fall as an example of random mix. Just something that came across my desk that made sense. Diapers are always great too. Nobody tries to scam huggies/pampers

In paypal's eyes, buyer is always right no matter how new their account is.
