PayPal Verified Phone number....
 

Morning All,

I read somewhere on here a while ago that PayPal might "flag" me if they see an Inactive number?

Does this mean that I need to have my phone/sim card permanently on?

I normally just activate a sim card, receive the verification messages and leave it in an envelope.....?

Any advice appreciated.

Phone line should be kept active in case of pp or eb calls

no you dont need active phone
paypal only call if they see suspicious activity

Keeping an active phone line is the smart way to handle it. If PayPal decides to call you for any reason and your phone number is disconnected, it can really snowball from there. If you are lucky, they will just remind you that their TOS states that you must have an active number on file and ask you to add a new one. If you are not lucky, then it could be a full blown limitation, with them wanting a verifiable phone number in your name and/or all sorts of documents to restore your account.

It is ALWAYS a good idea to keep an active phone for each eBay and PayPal stealth account that you have.

Also, if you ever need to switch computers or start working on the account on a new device paypal will likely try to verify you as the account owner using the phone number. If you do not have access to the original number used when opening the account youll never pass this verification - adding a new phone number wont work.

Oh that's ok. They numbers are active but the phone is always turned off....
