Social Security Number (last 4) Date of birth

The PATRIOT Act requires all financial institutions to ask for your Social Security number and confirm your identity to help prevent money laundering.

I'm assuming it's because I messed around with upgrading but I cannot bypass this screen, so don't click on upgrade links unless you are trying to upgrade.

Question is, can I just enter the last 4 of the EIN? Also, what do I do about the birth date? Anyone?

I would never 'upgrade' unless I absolutely had to, especially with the likes of paypal. Anything 'better' means a 'higher standard' meaning a higher risk of info like that being required.

Not necessarily.

Once you add a EIN or TIDN your essentially a REAL account. Its technically no longer stealth because its a legal entity (your business LLC/S-CORP/C-CORP etc.

So you now have a TON of leeway, but obviously you still have to be and act as stealth at all times.

Any thoughts on the course of action I should take? Should I try the date of birth and last 4 of EIN or abandon this PP and create another (perhaps business from scratch) for that eBay account?

I just entered in random numbers and it let me bypass it.

Can it pass by entering random numbers. I guess they will verify it...never try, simply guessing.....

once you receive that email request for yor SSN you will NOT be able to upgrade to a business account to enter an EIN number

I did find a work around and my paypal account is fine now. I do not want to reveal any thing on this open forum but i did find a way to restore my paypal account. And once you restore your paypal account you can then upgrade to a business account and enter your EIN
