Why do micro deposits take 2-3 business days?
 

Simple question, why do the micro deposits to confirm your pp take 2-3 business days to appear in your account, but the 4-digit code PP sends to confirm your credit card appears almost instantly? I was just wondering, figured I'd ask.

one is a charge, the other is a deposit

a lot has to do with you bank as well. I get mirco deposits next day using credit unions and small banks.

Why don't they go through on the weekends? Isn't it automated, so why does it matter if it is a business day or not?

Yankee, you ever noticed how the smaller banks that DO have online logins seem to never work when you try to confirm them instantly on pp?? I always seem to get an error message or something goes wrong. It's only the bigger banks that seem to work with no hassle when I try confirming instantly.

Banks only work banking hours for deposits and that does not include weekends.

I have never done an instant confirmation.

Credit cards and baking deposits are processed through two different systems. Credit card payments are instant through a system called Interbank (it goes under other names as well). Banking transactions are processed through the ACH system and must be processed by your bank. Most banks do not process on weekends, or at least do not process on Sundays. So a lot depends on your bank.

in general yes I would avoid doing instant verification but for this particular instance it isn't really a problem.

Chase bank is one of the few I've used for next-day deposits. They also deposit funds on Saturday.

Its your bank not paypal. I can't deposit info same day with my bank if I call next day online if I do not call

paypal withdrawals takes less then 2 days for me for it to hit my bank account
