paypal seller reputation number stays the same ?

i have been using my new paypal fro 7 months and done quite a lot deals.
however the seller reputation number stays the same 0 . nothing changed.
anyone know why?

TGMT² 01-01-2009 03:27 AM

Thats actually a very good question. I've been wondering the same thing, but never thought to post it here.

Maybe HWGA can dig up the answer for us?

GreenBean 01-01-2009 03:34 AM

Have all the sales been from verified Paypal users? I think that both parties must be paypal verified for the count to change.

yaw1800 01-01-2009 03:41 AM

^^ Correct
and it takes 30 days before it shows up

GreenBean 01-01-2009 03:42 AM

^^ forgot that, 30 days. Thanks, yaw.

TGMT² 01-01-2009 03:53 AM

Not sure if all have been verified, but I would say more than 90%.

I have had about 75 transactions through this PayPal account since August and the reputation is still at 0

I was thinking maybe they would do an update or something at the 6 month mark?

rock45 01-01-2009 09:39 AM

i am a verified premier user and the earliest sale could trace back to May.
i reckon i should get at least 100 reputation number by now....

yaw1800 01-01-2009 02:48 PM

it could be that their system is outdated and requires manual update or something

TGMT² 03-11-2009 12:46 AM

7 months now and my PayPal seller reputation still holding at ZERO with about 150 transactions.

Strange!

Seller Reputation: (0) Verified Buyers
Account Status: Verified
Account Type: US Premier

RE this issue - it's something that has been made apparent in the UK.

I've had near on 20,000+ Paypal transactions since my reputation of 28 was updated.

Unless I've only dealth with 28 verified sellers in all this sale volume - which clearly, is not true.

foster 03-11-2009 01:29 PM

I've noticed the same thing. I figured it was something that a programmer broke after one of their Thursday "updates".

The last time my number was updated was over a year ago.

aquariusvc 03-14-2009 07:22 AM

yeah not true all of my account has over 500+ transaction but status of seller reputation is (0) :)

idiotbay 03-14-2009 08:25 PM

i remember on of my accounts in 2007 it updated for every sale, ever since i made stealth accounts ( aug 2008 ) on all my accounts its always been 0, very odd

A direct copy/paste from Paypal about Seller Reputation.
I have added the BOLD to point out points:

Seller Reputation
The Seller Reputation Number measures how many Verified PayPal members have paid that seller. New transactions are added 30 days after they occur, to ensure that the Reputation Number reflects successful exchanges.

Account Status
U.S. Users are considered "Verified" if they have confirmed the bank account they have added to their PayPal account.Verification is a positive signal to the Community that a user has complied with Community security measures.

Account Type
Accounts can be Personal, Premier, or Business. Active sellers are required to have a Premier or Business account.

GreenBean 03-15-2009 03:10 AM

Read the same thing. However, my payments are from such described accounts. I have had no updates for many weeks.

Oh, I know that's what it says... but I still believe their system is currently broken.

For the first two years my reputation numbers increased. I was on track to be 1000+ just like eBay is listed. All of a sudden the rep # stopped increasing. A few months went by and then all of a sudden it started working again for maybe a month. Then it stopped again. Ever since then none of my PP account numbers have increased.

eBotsSuck 04-16-2009 01:31 AM

I have also had over 150 transactions and my number is still 0. Has anyone figured out what the problem with this is?

GreenBean 04-16-2009 05:42 AM

Sure have. paypal:fight:

NO ID 04-16-2009 06:28 AM

PayPal is working on it. It has been stuck probably off and on but consider it dead and useless.

GreenBean 04-16-2009 06:37 AM

^^^paypal sure is:peace:

juniorgz 05-01-2009 10:18 AM

Yea I noticed that too.. I have 0 after 100 plus transactions.. But I heard that there not doing it anymore.

ebaykilla 05-01-2009 11:05 AM
