Been seems years since I need to add a ein to a stealth plz refresh me ..

When getting the EIN you have to use your real information since you're dealing with the government here. The legal business name you put on the EIN application needs to match exactly what you tell Paypal your business name is.

Ok got the ein llc number I go back to put it in and says to enter ein I must up grade to a biz account . I went to do that said sorry cant upgrade becuz my account is limited please confirm tax info .. SOO hows the way to proceed ?

No good answer has been founds.
If you call paypal, they have no good solution for you either as of a few weeks ago.

It is doable but it has to be done over the phone.

Yeah you have to call. It's not a huge deal though. Had to call in the other day for an account - I explained the situation, the rep understood and even commented about it being a catch 22. She removed the limitation within a few seconds and had me upgrade to a business account while she was still on the line to make sure everything went fine.

It will depend on the rep you have though - some are a bit misinformed and will insist that you give a SSN, but you shouldn't budge because an EIN is an acceptable alternative. Just make sure to have a proper excuse prepared as to why you won't give a SSN to not seem suspicious.

You don't need a EIN or LLC to start your account.

It's ideal to have a LLC and EIN to do your taxes later for the amount of money you make with your account or accounts.

yea It stopped accepting payments till I addes ein I DO see its bettr soon as ask for ein to provide it before limited account or u have to call in and chance who u will get will decide they want more .. I didn't have problems But I can see how this could go bad fast///
