i think paypal has cheated me out some of my money!
 

hi guys i have been using paypal to buy phone parts off ebay to repair phones i even opened a credit line with them and i used paypal credit to pay for a lcd screen and all was going well i use money from items i sold to pay off the credit before interest got charged! Well the lcd i bought was for 100 bucks and i got it in the mail and it was got busted during shipping and i opened a dispute and sent the item back and the seller got it back and took awhile and sent me a refund today which i had 246 in my paypal and i have paid all my credit off so i had 1000 limt cause it was paid in full. Well i get the refund of 96.99 cause thats what it costed to buy the lcd and i used credit to pay for it then my account showed it went to 343 on the blance then all sudden it said the 96.99 went to paypal credit and now i have the same amount of money in my paypal and the 96.99 is gone! im like what the hell i alrdy paid the credit back from stuff i sold so the 96.99 should went back to me but it did'nt i have email paypal to see whats going on with it. have u guys had any problems like this?

1. You need to space out the paragraph

3. Did you check where the transaction says Refund issue to you? Rechecked your calculation?

3. Perhaps post up some screenshots with your info blacked out

He had a credit from PP. He bought something. It was broken. He requested a refund.

But refund went not to his account, but straight to PayPal, like a return of the credit! So, no money in the account after the refund.

Rule #1 with creditors: Never have your money in the hands of your creditors, lest they take it whenever they want to satisfy your debts. #1 reason why I would never had paypal credit.

Basically he/she/it does not understand that when buying with credit and getting a refund that the refund goes back to the credit.

oh ok, yea that is normal. When I buy stuff with my credit card, all refunds go back on the card.

When I buy stuff with my debit card, I usually get options on getting a refund on the card or cash but it really depends on the store policy.

It was paypals buyers credit, so it gets applied back to that no matter what. No options and I am fairley sure the OP is not seeing that reflected on the statement just yet and thinks paypal took his money LOL

oh paypal credit, I would think since it is still credit that refunds should go back to the credit account. MAybe this credit acts different.

I will try to make it short and easy.

I have $1000 credit limit on my account I spent 96.99 to buy a lcd then I got it it was busted and I did a return took almost to weeks then the buyer refunded me! but with in the 2 weeks I sold stuff on ebay used the money to pay back the 96.99 so my Pp credit was at $1000 all paid in full. So when I got this 96.99 refund it said it was refund to paypal credit and not to my balance so my account balance is the same and the credit is still 1000 and the 96.99 vanished into thin air!

so the refund amount of 96.99 that I got back has vanished or I should had got back the 96.99 I used out of the money from items I sold. cause if the 96.99 went back to the credit then where in the hell did the 96.99 go I paid pretty much out of my pocket go I should had gotton it back. I read that Pp credit it bad and they have been getting into trouble I see why now.

That credit can take up to 30 days to show. Just like a credit card. It sometimes wont show until your next statement.

o wait well they changed it today but still doesn't add up now it says I got

so I got a credit limit of 1,000.00 and it says credit line of 1,050.00 which it shoud say 1,096.99 if they truly applied it to my credit instead of my Pp balance cause I know for a fact I had it all paid up on what I borrowed.

o ok 30 days maybe it will all work on then I thought it would be on there instantly. I like having the credit option but hate that the dam thing is always turned on as default is there a way to get it off there where I can use my debit card cause most the times when I use the credit its always by mistake I buy stuff and click checkout and forget to change it to debit card or balance until its to late and I have done placed the order.

You also have to consider interest, fees, etc...

You can select funding source at checkout. It will always default to buyers credit so you have to select another option.

And refunds will always go back onto the credit, even if you have no balance.

ok. dang that sucks default to credit go figure they do this so u have to pay interest on the money.
