Am I now linked ?
 

Hi,

I accidently tried to add a bank account to a new paypal which I have already used for an old paypal. I realised when I got the message saying ' This bank account cannot be linked to any more paypal accounts' .

Am I now linked and will I be automatically banned soon ?

I dont think the old paypal ever got limited but the ebay associated with it probably did.

It's hard to say, I would let the account rest for a few days. Personally I don't see your Paypal going down but you never know.

Alright thank you think ill let it rest for a while. Only thing is I have a significant amount of money in the account.

Is there anything I can do apart from buying something to make use of this money in the paypal account? since I dont have a bank account attached to simply withdraw the funds.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Let's face it you could do this by complete accident by mis-typing the bank account number (which turns out to be an account being used by Joe Random on Joe Random's Paypal account) as opposed to how you actually did it.

Yeah, you're linked.

Will you be banned.. ? Probably not, but if any of those PayPals go down, they'll both go down.

You would only have been linked if the account added - it didn't.

It would of probably shown on the PayPal logs that an account was attempted to be added and on PayPal's end it wouldn't surprise me if it shows the log message that it sent to the user saying that it couldn't be added due to it being linked elsewhere.

I would assume PayPal keep logs of all error messages. The only log they do not get is when someone fails the EU limit check - it only shows pass or fail.

You're safe. It happens a lot when i try to add same vcc on diff account.
