Transaction Under Review
 
Usually when I get this, it's the "payment is under review and may take up to 24 hours to complete". Its way past that now. Any ideas why? This is a payment I received.

What sort of value $$ is this for

Had is come through eBay or is it an off eBay transaction

Thats a substantial amount. Might take a bit longer.
Also from my experience once it starts taking longer theres also a much higher chance of it getting reversed.
How trustworthy is the sender? do you know him?

No I don't. I just got the email that it cleared, but he said he called them.

Well these reviews happen sometimes.
Depending on the amount involved id take extra precaution with this particular transaction.

It might possible that your sender PayPal id or your ID may under radar.
Don't worry about that i will clear right after 24 hours.
