Weird Link Situation
 

So, I posted in the forums before and they did link my pp account because I used the same Eb account. but I kind of though this may happen. So my entire pp account was frozen. The weird thing is that I paid some of the amount to the cred dept. They told me the hold on my account would be in effect until I paid the whole amount.

I paid 180 out of 655. I was checking for my receipt of payment. Instead I got an email saying my account was restored.

I am totally confused now and don't know the status of what this means I don't want to call pp incase it triggers something. Does this mean I still owe the other monies or does it mean that they have wrote it off? Does it mean that I have a certain amount of time to pay it? Does anyone have any experience with this??

Have you tried using the PayPal account?, tried listing anything on it?, that will give you your answer either it is up and running again or it isn't, never mind if you still owe the money, if you do and the account is working you can pay off what you owe as you go along.

Wouldnt the balance in the paypal account be negative if you still owe them funds?
Have you tried logging into the account?

Thanks for responding everyone. It is linked from an old account that I had closed. The person opened a case after the old account was closed and my new one was open. I have a recent sale with pending funds but that is normal because it is a newer pp account. It isn't in the negative though because I am paying for a linked account balance owing.

I was just wondering why I didn't get a receipt of the amount I paid and I got an reinstatement email instead.

They are probably letting you keep the account until they are paid in full then you're toast.

restored usually means it is restored lol..

If you have problems receiving or sending payments it should come up with the usual limitation error.

Have you checked the resolution centre?

I know I sound like a paranoid freak. But after reading all the forums it kind of made it worse. I can't access the old account. But my new account appears to be fine. I will just have to wait and see what happens. I thought they would keep it suspended until I paid the whole bill, because they said that would happen. Now I am wondering if the lady at collections took mercy on me. Since the other account was closed when all this went down.

Anyways, I am just going to take it slow and open some stealth accounts. I don't want to lose this one Eb account because it is over a year old and I have passed all the v r o crap that took forever to get cleared. Wait and see I suppose. God I hate pp and eb at times.
