what bank accounts to use for stealth?
 

Hello

I am based in the UK and going to open a stealth paypal account. Need to know what UK bank accounts to use and avoid as i know some banks do not like direct debits to be made in wrong names.

Lloyds should be avoided. Other guys will add more NONONO banks.

Natwest is good, santander ia fantastic.

i have an hsbc bank account now, is this a possible one?

HSBC is fine.

Most banks are fine. The main ones to avoid are Lloyds and TSB. A few people have reported issues with Halifax as well.

Just be aware that ANY bank has the potential to give you grief if you act irresponsibly with them eg opening and closing loads of accounts quickly.

Ok thanks so If I open a savings account with debit card with my current bank this will be fine. Thanks for all the help guys.

Savings accounts are not the best way forward with Stealth as most of them do not allow direct debits to be set up from them which is something you need to do to cover fees to eBay/PayPal even though you never want eBay or PayPal to approach your bank to take their fees as you will always aim to have enough funds in your PayPal each month to pay the frees or even pay them from your funds before they become due, so the bank never needs to approach the bank.

It is easy to set up a current or basic account at the banks, so you don't need a savings one.
