Paypal attestation ID and name change,need help advice!!
 

Hey guys,

I hope someone can give me advice.:confused:

Its in regards to the Paypal attestation.

I was asked to get a professional to confirm my ID.

I left out a letter in my name when registering on Paypal so that i could slip thru the cracks and get my account accepted.
It worked until now many years later.

The questions i have are the following:

I was wondering ,since i have the attestation with my drivers licence from a professional showing my full name,before i submit this info should i correct my name in Paypal?

If i correct my name, do i risk to get exposed and banned since maybe they have a system that will compare my name automatically to my old account and find variables such as address,postal code that match?

Or is it only when you sign up that the system will do these checks?
Maybe an employee will do the comparison ?

Of do i just leave my name with the letter missing and submit the info hoping they will just think that its a mistake from my part and consider i have been with them for years without a problem thus hopefully they just add the missing letter or ask my to do it?

Could they say just to piss me off say that that the account is not mine since my ID does not match the name on file ,just for one missing letter????

Sort of sounds a like "damn if you do and damn if you dont" situation.

I never heard such thing that paypal ask you to confirm your id by a professional.. very strange.
