Getting a Paypal Debt Mastercard
I know there is no way possible that it would work, but I figured that I would discuss it anyway. On my personal Paypal account, I have a debt card. I have for years. You can scan it at the store or use at the ATM, or whatever. Im not talking about the credit card, but just the debt card to access the funds that you already have. I'm gonna take a wild guess that you cannot get one with a Stealth account? My assumption would be that if you request one, it will lead to them looking closer at your account drawing attention, taking the risk of getting your account limited. Does anyone have any experience with this? |

When you apply for a PayPal debit card you will need to give all your real details, including SS# |

In order to get a PayPal Debit Card....you would need to steal someone's real information including their SSN and try to apply for the card.....otherwise I don't see how it would work. |

Yep, they ask for SSN and if EVERYTHING does not match, including the address when you go to activate it - it will limit your account til you send in ID, etc. This happened to my kid on a legit non-stealth acct. Once the ID was sent in all was well but for ste/alth - this is a very bad move. |

Used to be that anyone could get one. I used to have one on a stealth account. Then they tightened things up a few years back and started requiring SSN. |

I never liked there debit card situation. With the debit card your force to spend using paypal so they can rack up more $$$. I would just be careful when you get debit card you want to limit the amount withdraws to "bank." They will say the whole purpose is retail purchasing. So when you use the debit card be weary of how it works and PP real plan. |

It is a debit card from your paypal funds. Nothing more. No secret conspiracy. Of course paypal makes a very small tiny amount of money every time you swipe the same exact way all debit cards do... |

| If you use the debit card for transactions there is no transaction fee per swipe, also they give 1% cash back for transactions so even if they are making money it is not off of the card holder which is getting back 1%
And I think it's part of an ATM network and withdrawals are free within the network
So using the debit card you actually earn money , not sure where you are seeing it as somethings that PayPal is using to profit from its cardholders |

| But, what happened to "you can't get one with stealth because you can't confirm you identity via SSN". Are we saying that you CAN get one? And what do you mean "limit withdrawls to bank"? If I had debt card, wouldn't even need a bank. Just swipe it and/or use ATM. |

Yep from my funds. I think PP is making a good amount on it. They have to or they would of never instituted. I believe there debit card is as good as prepaid card. So Chargebacks are non existent. I got to dig up the email from paypal that they sent.
Its really ridiculous they control your money.
They make the money when you swipe as credit card not a debit card. Debit card you have to type in your pin. Paypal Hates that because they are making zip and zero. Quote:

| Of course the merchant pays the credit card company a percentage of each sale to be able to accept CC
But the cardholder gets 1% back, it was just the way the post stated to be careful when using it like you would be charged a merchant fee or interest as if we're a CC |

| No you can not get a PayPal debit card for a stealth account, you can only get it for a US PayPal account that is registered in your name.
The PayPal debit card uses your PayPal available balance as if it were a bank account, so you can make withdrawals and transactions from your PayPal available balance
So because of such access to your PayPal funds, in order to get a card you need to provide all information including a SS# and all that must match the PayPal account.
So no with stealth accounts |

So I assume a business LLC as an entity cannot get a PayPal debit card using EIN as a SSN? For instance.... Andy Smith registering a ficticious name sounding LLC, like Jack Jones LLC? |

| You will have to follow the USA Patrior act and supply an SS along with the EIN. Same as a checking account or credit card. |
