200 transaction 20k
 

In 2013 i had my paypal received about 26k, account had my real name and address but not my right ss#, I thought i would not get anything in the mail from the IRS since the social did not match my number, moving on to 2015 i received a letter from the IRS saying i owe them 12k :(


Is there something i can do? 26k was not all profit, maybe about 12k, can I still fight it and say i did not make 26k in profit?

The SS# Belonged to somebody... Tread lightly... You could be charged with identity theft if the law becomes involved. I would get a tax attorney for sure they could best deal with this. Internet or this forum is not right place to seek this kind of advice.

Actually the IRS sent it with my true social, I just need to prove that it wasnt all income.

If you actually had someone elses S.S on your account and try to "fight it", you could face alot of legal issues.

I never thought someone would actually do that.... hmpf.

Using someone else's SS# for anything is no good. Good Luck with that one...

hey bro yous hould have got a good tax person they are great at write offs

i received 1099k once from google and once from amazon, had a tax person come over

added up all my expenses etc, and only had to pay the irs 1k

when your doing high volume of sales liek that better to keep track and pay your taxes

You will just need to get your accountant to work everything out for you, your accountant will work out all the numbers so that the 26K is not all income, which it looks like the IRS has done giving nothing to work with and charged 12k in taxes.
