PayPal Add Bank Account Phone Verification Help Needed
 

I have a PayPal account that has an eBay account attached to it. They are both around 5 months old now. Today I finally decided to add a bank account on it, since I started selling on the account more. When I tried to add a Chase bank account, which I have done on other stealth accounts with great success, it said device not recognized, and they need to send an automated text messege or phone call.

Now I still have the tracfone, LG 440G, but it has no minutes on it. Before I add minutes to it though, I want to see if this will work to verify the account because when I tried verifying the phone number on Paypal when I made the account, I couldn't receive the text messege they sent me.

If the phone won't work to verify PayPal, what other options do I have to add a bank account on this PayPal? Can I do it using my Chase bank login information instead of them sending the deposits?

other option is time, just wait 2 days, if this error message doesn't disappear give paypal a call and ask to add bank account for you

Does the Tracfone have any service days left? If not, how long has it been since you ran out? After a certain amount of time they reassign your phone number.

Even if you weren't able to receive the text for confirming mobile, you should still be able to receive the text/call for the device not recognized issue but this is only if this is the exact same phone number you used to create the account.

If you can't get it to work you'll have to call to add it. There's an automated system you can go through that may help you add it but usually it would take a rep helping you out so it's best to have the phone and do it yourself.

You can add the bank through the automated system when calling pp. You don't have to talk to anyone

In July, why is it not working anymore?

When you call pp the system sais "in a few words tell me what you're calling about" (or something like that) then you say "add a bank" and you can add it, you don't even need to talk to anyone.

I tried 2 weeks or so ago and I was sent to a Rep.

Did it just transfer you to the rep right after you said add a bank? Or did it ask you to enter the bank account number then say some error and transfer you to a rep?

I'm adding a bank to an account tommorow, I'm gonna test it out again.

Same automated service transfer to Rep. Ive heard some reps just the account without the ID background questions. Not sure whats the best way around the id ????'s.

Unless you can sweet talk your way out of an ID background.....what do you think would work? nothing! the only thing is to keep the phone number alive....which I can't seem to say enough, lol. I don't understand why this is so difficult for people to understand....I really don't.
