area code must match against city/town the address originates from?

and the number cant be something sham that is out of reach and you cannot pick up calls & receive sms on it? in other words is phone number verification a must? and for every country pp?

if yes, what if you have a number that can only receive calls on it?(no text/sms)

Ideally it should but if it's in another near city it should be fine.

You need a number you can at least answer! why in the world would you want to put some phake number.

For the US you need a number to get 4 digit code during the ebay creation process.

No clue, these are the strangest questions on phone number.....

well just skipping it somehow if youre not willing to pay for it while its not necessary and not going through the hassle of finding a reliable & cheap service for the target country

like in the case of not being from target country and the provider only does call-forwarding & has no support for text/sms

by the way if you signup for a phone service is it necessary not to losing access to the number even after you passed phone verification? if yes what is the use of it and how this may can help you with anything in the future?

also can the number be changed without raising any issues in the case its no longer available for you to reach on?


p.s: here im only concerned about registering phone for pp but id be nice to know the case about ebay buyer only acc

I have no idea what Country your trying to get a Number in but for example....In the USA, when people try to withdraw funds, or Add a Bank Account...Paypal will want to verify the person's Identity via a Phone Call or Text. So, if you DON'T have access to the original Number that was used when Registering the Paypal then it will be a problem.

Perhaps we could stop the vague answer/question that is going on here and maybe you can tell US what your trying to accomplish or what Country are you trying to Register an Account In.

sorry for the vague thing that bugged you most of which relate to not being so perfect in English..

so to speak im still undecided as for the country but most probably a country from within europe which also lets withdrawal to card.

- what are all cases that you need to ensure to have a working number for your account?

- the number must have support for both calls & text/sms?

- can the number be changed (replaced not adding another one) without raising any issues if the acc has been initially setup with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗/made-up one or youve no longer access to the number? (assuming everything has worked with that setup and there wasnt/isnt any problems up to the moment you want to do this)

All you need to do when creating a paypal account is use textnow, this will allow you to pass the phone call verification plus it is free.

If you use textnow will it allow you to get something other than 0/$0 and hopefully 5/$500.

Textnow was for paypal verification when adding a VBA, i hear that for ebay you have to use a specific kind of phone to get better selling limits.

may i get to know about these:

- what are all occasions/cases that you need to be ensured to have a working number for your account? (before anything goes wrong..)

- the number must have support for both calls & text/sms?

textnow didn't work for paypal in the past.

You have to add textnow to the paypal account when you create the paypal, then you can use it via smartphone app to receive the phone call.
