UK Paypal: Charge backs?
 

OK long story short.

This has happened on a legit business i own:

customer paid with paypal, I think by card payment method. it's been more than 45 days since he paid, so he wont be able to open a case with paypal for disputes.

But he could still speak with the bank and apply for a charge back (transaction reverse). The product is damaged by himself and he is passing blame on me. He is likely to open a "not as described" case. In this scenario, what would happen? Will he be able to claim back all his money?

He would still be able to open a case on PayPal, even past the 24 day marker.

A lot of the time (unfairly) PayPal and banks will side with him

To get the most out of a bad situation it may be best to let him keep the item and offer a partial refund
