have i been Scammed?

Hi Everyone,

I have 3 book sets i sold on bonanza, the buyers paid with Paypal, with 3 different Paypal Accounts.

each order was delivered to the buyer within 2 days from them placing the order on my store.

2 weeks later i get 3 Unauthorized payment chargebacks, for the same transactions. I have a stealth account and not sure what to do.

I do have all 3 tracking numbers for these chargebacks and it shows they are delivered, so im hoping they will release the holds. I've never had this happen before

I get at least one or two paypal chargebacks in a month. It's almost always "unauthorized payment" and it's almost always from international buyers. I guess a lot of credit cards get stolen in Brazil.

Anyway Paypal is usually pretty fair about resolving chargebacks. Respond to the claim by providing a tracking number confirming the person got what they ordered. 8 times out of 10 Paypal will decide in your favor. Sometimes they will let you keep the funds even if the credit card company refuses to reverse the chargeback, with Paypal coming out of pocket to cover the difference. It's a part of their "Seller Protection" program.

That was a post count boost from rsot.

Don't be going there. Let rsot play his own games.
Concentrate on getting going again after your limitations.

Re: have i been Scammed?

Most popular reason for that is that the card used for payment was stolen. There is nothing you can do in this situation, unfortunately.

I don't know if it differs in the US (I imagine it doesn't)

But you just need a proof of postage in the UK to defend a chargeback. If you have tracking, you can add that too.

Just Google paypals seller protection and how to defend against chargebacks. It's very straightforward. Paypal should take the loss if you followed all seller protection rules and upload POP.
