Seems GayPal dose'nt like the idea of people useing the plug-in to cash out

Heres what the monkeys sent me today after useing the plug-in

PayPal Debit Card Security has been trying to contact you to verify a
transaction or transactions recently attempted using your PayPal Secure
Card. Unfortunately, we were not able to reach you at the home telephone
number listed on your account. As a security precaution, your Secure
Card has been temporarily blocked to prevent further authorizations
until we are able to speak with you to verify the recent activity.

If you have not yet called the PayPal Debit Card Security department to
verify your recent transactions, please call 1-800-830-8574 at your
earliest convenience. You will need your Secure Card number when you
call. To view your Secure Card number:

Back on my old account, they would call our home phone to verify card activity for the actual physical debit card. It is actually done by a 3rd party company and it is like Chase calling you make sure you authorized the charges. If they reach you by phone, it is just an automated menu saying "You made a $13 charge at a porno store, press 1 to say you authorized the charge" (just kidding about the porno)

How much were you trying to cash out? I used to only get the message when I would have large ($1000) withdrawls in one day.

Gaypal??? Try to keep this professional. Calling something "Gay-Pal," sounds like a 12 year old on the play ground...

aspkin 01-16-2009 10:56 AM

A standard security screening.. nothing to be worried about.

imthatguy 01-16-2009 11:36 AM

why do you all still use gay pal? When will you learn?

aspkin 01-16-2009 11:52 AM

It's uncalled for and unprofessional I agree. But come on it's doughboykilla! Lol..

"Its unprofessional to use paypal" .. soooo true
too funny

TMiles 01-16-2009 04:37 PM

I must agree with that too. Paypal is pretty difficult to work with!!!

Plugin is not the issue.

The issue is that you didn't answer your phone. Always have a phone number that you are able to pick up. I personally recommend Vumber for this service.

And if you have issues, you can always hang up the phone.

Guess your right and if they start getting personal then i could hang up.

it sucks though. How many times have they called you Exeneva?

And i dont see why they call you with such low amounts spent i would see if i was spending 100s of dollars in a short period of time but $75 and it was the first payment i made Via plug-in theres no need to call.

Exeneva 01-17-2009 12:13 PM

Personally I sign up for a business account every time, which allows me to set fraud filter settings.

My fraud filter settings are in the $600 range, so as long as I don't buy something $600+, I generally never receive a call from Paypal.

This is acting professional:
Digg - Anonymous Member Covered in Pubes Runs into Scientology Org
YouTube - Anonymous member covered in pubes runs into scientology building
Greasy vandal in hate crime vs. Scientology

Seriously...

As for the plugin, I guess paypal might not want you making huge purchases with it all the time. I mean $50 is buying some stuff online. Spending $1000 is making lots of pricey purchases.

Exeneva 01-18-2009 03:23 AM

I've never gotten a call about the plugin.

I use three ways to get my money out of Paypal. Two of them work for unverified accounts.

Exeneva 01-18-2009 09:10 AM

I'm just too lazy to get a merchant account.
