Correcting mis-entered name on business account
 

so on one of my stealths, i accidentally put the business name in the first name line, the first name in the last name line, and the last name in the business name line

i can definitely give PP the document they want for proof to correct the name

my question is will they ask for proof of the business name, because i'm assuming that would require some sort of official government business records or forms, and i definitely cannot provide that

maybe someone has been in a similar situation to this and could give me a heads up on what to expect

For minor name changes to correct typos, you don't need to submit your ID.

Yes I know, unfortunately this is not a minor change.

My question is about proving a business name in the event of correcting a business name incorrectly. Does it require proofs/documents

This is what I found out, for anyone else needing to update a name on a business account.
They ask for a letter on company stationary explaining need for the change, along with copy of photo id, + 1 other item like utility bill, bank statment, cc statement.

Written proof is needed to explain the error. paypal are covering themselves in regards to IRS requirements.

Your file needs to define your correct name to prevent issues.
