Just wanted to get an opinion from you guys about this.
It's newly created account (~30 days) with legit info and legit CC attached to it. It's not business account, its premier type of account.
There's been about ~4000 EUR worth of payments (80-90 transactions) to it, with 90%+ of payments being family/friends - gift payments.
I've had one 2 unauthorized claims, one guy just randomly tried it, they investigated and denied claim and other one went to CC issuer and got refund.
I've requested withdrawal of 2400 EUR (x2 1200 EUR). I know it takes a bit longer for withdrawals to go from pending to completed for new accounts, but I've contacted PayPal and they said it'll take 72h for withdrawals to go through.
They didn't and after 72h i've contacted them again, and they said it'll take 7 business days and that if it doesn't go through within 7 days, it'll take 14 days, and if its not completed after that period they'll be able to trace it, whatever tracing means. They said withdrawals are being prolonged due to automatic safety measures.
Now, i know i made mistakes by abusing gift payments and by withdrawing huge amounts at one time, especially since its 1st withdrawal.
What i would like to know is did someone else had similar experience or if anyone knows what are they doing in these cases?
Is it safe for me to send remaining money to friend for example so he can withdraw?
Can they close/limit my account and take 2400 EUR due to abusing gift payments?
Thanks. |
