Hi Forum As we approach 2016 i hope to get some answers on how to can avoid getting the dreadful error message "WE CAN'T PROCESS PAYMENT AT THIS TIME" thru eBay checkout and Paypal checkout when having a fully verified paypal account with tons of money in my Paypal Balance, Ive waited more than 72hrs to weeks at a time and try and process and still get the same error message,what can i do to prevent this

"eBay can't process payment"

Whatever you're doing raised some flags for paypal, try and make a smaller purchase first, I've had the same thing happen before, it's like a security bug that can take time to clear up at times.

Ive gotten this plenty of times the problem is.. your paypal .when you created it on an ip.. did you create any other paypals on that Ip? or did you create any others in a short amount of time like within that same day?... Or Where are you trying to Spend your Funds? Have you spent your funds at this same place with other paypals account that have been Limited?

the reason i know this is bcuz one time i created 4 paypals within 2 hours. I changed all of my ips etc etc. when the funds became available i spent them at places i used other paypal account that have gotten limited. when i got the error message after trying to spend funds I called paypal on each of the 4 accounts and kept asking why... so that is how i figured out about the dreadful "WE CAN'T PROCESS PAYMENT AT THIS TIME" error message ... those 4 account got bank$$$$$ in them and Im waiting it out now smh!

Solution ... if you account is not limited yet i suggest you move the funds to your bank account or request a check (I have a solution for the check problem also).. Your account WILL BE LIMITED SOON if not already

There are some flags over these accs, so if you are getting such error, your account is in danger.

As others have stated, the account is in jeopardy and in line to be reviewed by an actual rep.

Their new 'security measures' are beyond annoying.

Move the money while/if you can.

I've been having this happen to me from the self storage unit I operate at connected to BT monthly internet, however when I get home and use a recognised I.P. address it works 1st time.

Had no problems listing using the bt account though, do you think I could use multiple accounts on this bt connection if they are legit and already been used over same device, ip etc?

@ BozzA you are correct . you can simply clear your cookies, restart your computer or login from a different computer/IP location & it WILL work the 1st time. But once they have that IP etc.. You WILL get the dreadful error message again!

I used the PayPal app to get rid of this nuisance message. Be warned though, when you download the app there are many things on your phone PP want access to. Nyco's idea seems safer

Strangle enough it allows me to pay for parcels2go just not ebay on that IP.

I recently received some money and I coudn't send money to this person I knew and it took like 5-6 days before it let me send the money. Just security limits they put on your account. Don't try sending multiple times or your account gets limited sometimes for trying in one day too many attempts. The bots think it's a hijacker or somebody else.

mobile usually works but everybody is right there are flags on your account.

I just had this happen to me. I had a feeling the system detected I was sending money more frequently than usual so I waited for 2-3 days and I was able to send again. I was thinking I was going to get limited but thank god I wasn't.

Sometimes it will happen on off-ebay payments, then you make an ebay purchase and it works

The answer to this question exists in a lot of threads on this already, use search next time. Your account is basically temporarily in hot water, and you need to cool down.

It is spoken a lot on the forum.

It is a soft limit paypal put on accounts for payments you just receive into your account and so therefore wont be able to use the "send money" button until about 72 hours afterwards.
Dont keep trying to send money before this or you may trigger a limitation.

That's actually not necessarily true as it happened to me recently on a couple of accounts that received payments for ebay transactions. The 21 day hold applied and the funds were released. I then waited almost a full month before trying to send a payment - and got the same message.

My account was reinstated yesterday.. still cannot buy big price items or send money out .

1. Age of accounts
2. Is this a sleeper account with no recent transactions?
3. Did you receive payments from eBay or Paypal?
4. Any other important info...
