Need Advice. Buyer offered to pay me directly through Paypal no fees

A buyer has offered me a little less then my BIN price and offered to pay me directly through Paypal "no fees"

What should I do? It is a fairly expensive item close to 2k

Bare in mind when thinking about this that eBay can shut down accounts if they catch wind of you cutting them out

Dont Do it... if it goes str8 to paypal you will have to wait 21 days & your risking your account being limited.. if you do it through ebay you get your money faster.. plus doing str8 to paypal means a greater chance the buyer is going to file a claim... def dont want that !!!

Thanks. I dont have any 21 days hold on my account. Everything is instant but I agree, it is suspicious

if your account is aged you wont.. if not YOU WILL!!! heres what you do.. what ever price he offered.. lower it. the BIN price to X amount. Make sure you click the little box that says "immediate payment required"... this keeps foul play to a minimum

Like Nyco stated....might as well lower the price on eB and tell him that you set it lower for him to BIN...see what the buyer says...

This is just my $.02. Take it with a grain of salt, and make your own decision.

All of my wholesale buyers contact me by phone and I send them a paypal invoice, so they pay directly by Paypal. But these are long-term customers who I trust to some degree. As long as you ship quickly and upload tracking, the likelihood of the buyer opening a claim is exactly the same as it would be if you completed the transaction through eBay. Both places essentially have an identical buyer protection program. If you use eBay though the buyer is able to open a case in eBay then if it gets declined, they can turn around and open a paypal case.

Sell local for cash. Those items attract huge volumes of very smart scammers.

A mac? Thank Dog you did not make that deal.

Quick hint..

.. Next time you get an approach like this, go to your stove, turn on a cooking element and see what you feel from the heat as it burns your hand.
Since you should not like the burning pain, treat these deals the same way.

When you get trusted buyers, then you can look at other options.

Remember, fire burns!

Keep in mind you can get scammed IF you do local pick up even...

If you do it outside of eBay do it 100% out of ebay AND paypal. They can't do anything if no sale was made via either site. If you do local pick up they can file a case threw paypal which is practically impossible to fight as the seller.

Good luck!

I would have very strict requirements for all potential buyers with something this expensive and coveted.:ranger:

When I get these kind of offers I always tell them I'll only take bitcoin outside ebay, and very rarely do I ever get a second response

I sold a few high dollar items $2500 before on a previous account and never had a problem but I can understand being cautious

That very well may be because very few people know what bitcoin is or how to pay with it.

Personally I made many transactions from eBay users outside eBay.
The best way , is to give them your phone , or aks for theirs, and handle the transaction from there.
Chances of being cought by Ebay are close to zero.
