Transaction 5XXXXX under PayPal Payment Review???
 

The Payment Review may take up to 24 hours. When we've completed the review, we'll either clear or cancel the payment. If the payment clears: You may proceed to process the order. To know if your item is covered, check the 'Seller Protection' section of the 'Transaction Details' page and ensure that it states 'Eligible'.

You shouldn't ship the item until we let you know that the payment has cleared. We'll send you an email when we complete the review or you can check the Transaction History tab of your PayPal account.


What is this about? I think Im going to cancel the transaction and refund the buyer. Low feedback and a business address/New York.


Nevermind. Seller protection : Not eligible It says in paypal. Refunding the person!! Transaction way to suspicious

Sounds like either you or your buyer did something to make Paypal get sketched out, or your buyer paid by check. Checks usually take longer than 24 hours to process, so I would guess you've done something to make Paypal suspicious.

Just wait it out, that's all you can do.

the buyer paid by check.. thats all just wait 24-48 hrs for it to clear.. i had a sale this morning someone paid by check.. its 2016 WHO USES CHECKS haha .. but yea their order shipment will be delayed until $$$ is cleared!

Its the buyer account. I'm refunding him because this is to sketchy and it says Seller protection : Not eligible

It is a simple payment review. More than 2000 things can cause this but the two biggest things are, 1.) first transaction over $250.00 and first payment using a mobile device.

Of course it is not eligible for protection, they have not cleared the payment yet.

Just wait for paypal to clear or cancel the payment. It is an every day occurrence. Nothing sketchy at all in any way.

If you are really concerned, call paypal and they will explain it to you. If you sell higher dollar items regularly, you will deal with this weekly or daily if you have volume.

I dont know about you but I still use checks from time to time, maybe 5-9 times in a year, and I am only 35. I use a debit card about 95% of the time, and using debit cards since I was 17 years old. So stop thinking you are this upscale person who doesn't use paper checks.

Yes I don't know what happen but I canceled it because I was unsure. maybe it was a normal thing but I didnt know and also the address was like a business address to a modeling agency

After I canceled the first order under review then immediately relisted the item and got the same amount but with No under reviews. The transaction was good to go

Cancelling orders is defects.
If you sell higher dollar items regularly, you are going to get payment reviews, especially with newer ebay buyers.
In the future, I suggest just waiting the whole 24 hours or less for the outcome. If PayPal feels there is any risk, they will cancel.

Calm yourself, this is an issue with the buyer. I WISH I had a nickel everytim this happened to me over the year,,,it will be fine,,,,Relax
