How are you stealth if you connect your real bank account?
 

How are you guys in any way stealth, if you, connect your real bank account to paypal? Paypal gets your information. Knows your bank. And they can go check up on you. Wouldn't you get in trouble?

I'm reading and everyone seem to use their real bank account to cash out.

In the USA and UK, we use bank accounts. Most of the world actually.

If you use your real bank account then yes paypal could potentially find out exactly who you are.
Of course for that they would need a court order that would force the bank to give up that sort of information. If youre running a legit operation theres no reason for paypal to find out who the owner of the bank account is - cause it would mean doing it for every single account which is millions and millions of accounts.
The ONLY reason paypal would go to that trouble is IF the activity the account was involved in was soooooo fraudulent that it would not only justify but necessitate such measures.
In other words - If youre account becomes listed on their top ten most wanted list then yes they'll find out who you are.

If you ONLY WITHDRAW from PayPal and do not deposit to PayPal from your bank, then PayPal will never see the name your account. CAN they possibly find out? Yes. But it would be a manual process and there are all kinds of legal hoops they would have to jump through, so they don't bother. The important thing is that your bank does not have a problem with deposits coming in under mismatched names.

And legal hoops come into play if someone is doing something BIG time illegal...

It is as simple as this. Extra profit means extra risk. If you sell counterfeits you can expect closed accounts, customs seizures, irate customers and - if you sell enough volume - possibly law enforcement knocking at your door. 5 or 6 years ago, you could easily get away with selling this stuff, but things have changed.

A Bank cannot from my full understanding "reveal your information" because some states limit this because of concerning information could break privacy laws - it can however - fax their financial center an affidavit (sworn statement signed in front of a notary public) setting out that such person owned a bank account in question is the full owner of such bank account. At which point, the Bank may reply 'yes' or 'No'.

Usually, lending companies use this form in case the owner cannot provide a voided check, when verification of account ownership or ownership of POD assets, when reporting a death certificate of a person's bank account. The bank may request additional documents so the process is dragged for days.

So companies like PayPal resort by using solution providers with Banking Wizard solutions to link customers to their bank account details.

but even so, this is merely a scoring system and data held from previous searches thus many financial services avoid such system to validate account ownership.

One way Banks know your name is when a compliance officer looks at your account and debit or credits name on the ACH tickets do not match, therefore such account is being used for the benefit and by an unidentified and unknown 3rd party and often is a concern to the bank. When you refund on PayPal or debit (e-check) someone, PayPal could see the name and error code of the person's name involved with such bank account (not failed transfers), but if PayPal has reasons it could ping a bank account, if involved in fraudulent transactions ( or you are wanted via CIP, OFAC..) their front-end software may help identify name differences and match you.

What could people sell on ebay that is so illegal, that paypal gets a court order? I mean buyers will always win no matter what, so why would paypal ever need info of this person?

What possible items would the top 10 people sell?

These individuals are usually, involved in illicit activities involving the sale of; Firearms,
Wire Fraud,
Betting Sites,
Selling Investments,
Producing and trafficking drugs,
etc..

basically, people who are surely involved in identity theft, illegal trading and other not legally permitted sales or prohibited by the members bank, PayPal, and visa and so and so..
