| phaz0rz | 01-09-2016 11:13 AM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? GB - I haven't tried using a different browser yet, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt anything to try. Up to this point I have only tried to add the bank using the Firefox which I've been using to manage this account since it's birth. I'll go get a fresh copy of Opera and see if anything changes.
yankee - Thanks for the reassurance. As my paypal balances are growing I'm becoming increasingly frantic about not being able to withdraw. Just to be clear, you are suggesting attempting to add the bank account every day, and it will eventually go through? |
| jakobrockz | 01-09-2016 12:05 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? I would never delete those BOA banks you have attached to those paypal accounts. No need too... and if you did delete them from your paypal accounts it may trip something you never know with them! :hail: |

As of this morning, one paypal has a little over $1k and the other two have right around $800. And of course, I have no way of withdrawing. Tried instant verification again this morning to no avail. Still "device not recognized." | I had the same problem, I opened a new user account on my computer logged in to PayPal. Waited a couple days and then I was able to add the bank. |

Everybody seems to agree that waiting a few days will work. I'm just nervous because my balance is growing by the hour... |
Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Actually there is a method I have figured out that will work but it won't come for free. Took me countless hours and hours to figure this out. |

| phaz0rz | 01-09-2016 03:12 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Oh trust me, I've thought long and hard about this. I only know of two ways to add a bank account. Neither has worked yet. |

You haven't tried everything BNB. There is one more way just think outside the prism. |

| phaz0rz | 01-10-2016 08:12 AM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Day 3 and I still can't add my new bank account.
Would I be able to just call paypal and have them add the bank account manually? Do they require a bank statement for that? |

I could slowly migrate my sales to those accounts, but I would really hate to abandon the three accounts I mentioned in my original post. The busiest one of them has 4000+ feedback with $123k in sales last year (from may to dec).
I don't think your suggestion of trying to add a phone to this account is a good idea, and I don't think it would work either. Paypal will see that and say to themselves "why the hell does this guy need to add a phone after so long?". They will suspect identity theft and it would become even harder for me to add a new account.. they may even limit the account if I tried that.

| yankee | 01-11-2016 10:49 AM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Adding a phone number is really common.
BUT it will not help this problem in any way. It is ORIGINAL phone number. It will help when calling in for the future. |
| cmbhuy | 01-11-2016 05:28 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? if u add a new phone number you should be able to use it for verification within 24 hrs or after 9 when their system updates. |

When I go to purchase airtime or try to reactivate the phone on tranfone's website, I get an error message.
| i have no idea if this will work so maybe someone more knowledgeable Can chime in on this but there are phone number spoofing apps out there. Maybe you can spoof your old trackphone number and call in?? Im not sure if that will work but just a thought |

Also, I just add a new number and call from that one and tell paypal my old number is no longer in service and it needs to be deleted. |

I've only done one of the three accounts so far. Spoofcard did the trick. | Good to hear! |
| phaz0rz | 01-13-2016 07:20 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Thank you yankee! Couldn't have done it without you and a few other members.
Wasn't so lucky with the main account. But I'm a lot more hopeful now than I was yesterday :) |
| cmbhuy | 01-14-2016 04:05 AM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? who said adding a new number doesn't work? what if you change your number? it normally works, lately with some pay pals even the original numbers they won't let you use to confirm. but it wouldn't hurt to try. |

I didn't have access to it when I created this thread but I've since learned how to spoof it (thanks Jeff Weico). All of the accounts are confirmed already and have been for a long time. Only issue is the security check I get when I try to update banks... |

But in all reality, just open business accounts. Much better for a variety of reasons. | peoples work income is that much!
Now if it was deposits every day instead of weekly then yes but I still dont see why that would matter |

Now if it was deposits every day instead of weekly then yes but I still dont see why that would matter | It is a common problem. Lots of threads about it. Also, not a whole lot of people making 206K at a job. That makes the top 1% wage earners nationwide.
Personal accounts are not meant for business. Banks deem it risky and close high volume accounts.
Just like this thread is all about the bank closing his accounts because them deemed it risky.....Enough proof right there lol |

I don't blame BoA at all for closing my accounts. In hindsight, I deserved it. $4k per week coming in and $3950 going out is something you would not normally see on a personal account. The BoA accounts moved over 100k in their 9 month lifespan but I cashed out every Monday and rarely had over 1k total in the accounts. On top of that, deposits were coming from 4 different stealth names. So, I was using a personal account very suspiciously.
The point of the thread was to discuss my options moving forward. |
| GreenBean | 01-14-2016 06:34 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Which stands where at this point?
One bank account on but your main baby not yet "safe".
Would have helped to keep the whole story together. :peace: |
| phaz0rz | 01-14-2016 06:46 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Yeah, I'm sorry about that Greenbean. I had some specific questions along the way which I thought would get a better response in their own thread. Here's a summary of where I'm at *removed for l334 h4x stuff*
Now that I've at least been able to work things out with my 2nd most active account, my outlook is a lot more positive. I've never been in any trouble on my main account so I am hopeful that I will be able to add a bank to it when I talk to a rep. |
| GreenBean | 01-14-2016 06:54 PM | Re: BofA closed my account - am I screwed? Sounds doable.
Fingers crossed etc etc
