PayPal fee in different countries
 

From my understanding the paypal fee in the usa is 2.9% + .30.

I sent $28.17 so the person can receive $27 but he only received $26.77.
I am sure with 2.9% and 30 cents. That should equates a bit more than 27$. I used a paypal calculator and I gave him 4 cents extra soooo.... is the fee different now?


So the only reasons I can think of is that paypal fees varies per country or he is scamming me for 50 cents. Which one is it?

Could be a currency conversion fee if you sent to another country.

Or maybe they ripped you off $.50.

Fluctuating currency conversion fee may be at play.

Will be down to the currency conversion that PayPal use. This changes hour to hour

Oh i should mention that after the transaction, i got his pp account limited hard. He couldnt send and receive lmao. I didnt even know what to say to him and he called pp. It was due because of my transaction lol.

Idk why that happend so maybe someone could advise.

Hopefully he didn't used a VBA. I felt bad for him and glad he didn't make me replace
