PayPal and Freight Forwarding Service- Risky?
 

Hi,

Say International buyer places 20 orders over the course of 2 month (Total valued over 10K), and they use Freight Forwarding address as Shipping Address.
Freight Forwarding (Shipping address) is Confirmed on paypal
How risky is to continue shipping these orders?
Based on PayPal policy buyer has 180 days to open up a case (Item not as described). Loosing 10K would suck.

In my experience they aren't risky at all. Some international buyers use them to save on shipping costs or get around regulations. I have never had any significant problems shipping to freight forwarders, and I send at least 2 or 3 orders to a freight forwarding service daily. I would even go as far as saying problems arise less often than when shipping USPS international.

It would help if you provided info about why exactly you are hesitant to ship to the forwarder. Have you had problems with those buyers doing chargebacks?

Thank you for reply! I ship to freight forwarders too, but not as often. I find that buyer made over 15 orders valued over 7k, I start to question myself if problems can arise in 4 month from now due to 180 day claim perior PayPal offer. I shipped to different freight forwarding addresses and they are all confirmed.

Maybe i am being paranoid.

Could be that someone is using you as a dropshipper hah

i will sometimes sell stuff cheaper to get dropshippers. Some even leave messages, "don't leave any shipping documentation" AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

I have the same case; I have a buyer that do the same use freight forwarding address as the shipping. Thay almost buy 40+K $ products from my store. Is there any risk, because I ship all the order tonight.

You must ship to the address given in your Paypal payment notice email,if $750 or more per order,you need signature confirmation.
You can also take out insurance for peace of mind/
There are cases where the freight forwarder does a sloppy job of repackaging in combined shipping,and you would be responsible.

signature confirmation of the freight forwarder,I assume they are in USA,so it should cost you a few dollars.
BTW,USPS does not keep tracking online forever,so for that kind of money,make a hard copy of the tracking history.
