Can I open U.S. eBay with non-U.S. PayPal?

I'm American but I live overseas. Would it be possible for me to open a regular U.S. eBay account with my permanent address in the U.S. but link it to a non-U.S. PayPal? I searched but didn't see any threads about this.

I would advise against it.
Think about it from these companies' perspective - two accounts linked together with addresses in two different countries.
Nothing good can come out of it...

Totally difficult to do.

paypal get more anal than usual.

Had one where the account holder went to the trouble to notify both ebay & paypal in writing about the issue.

He got emails back saying Fine....

1st transaction, paypal slapped a limitation on the account.... Despite all his efforts, it became permanent.

Not recommend - easier to work with US IP, make a US PP then get US eb account going.

I used to link a stealth US ebay account to China Paypal They are still alive. US paypal requires SSN,I Know EIN works,but i do not want to do that,i do not even live in the US and have no obligation to pay tax to IRS.In China,online selling is tax-free.
If it is not your main account,you can try,be sure to link a new paypal account which has never been linked to ebay account before.

You should "Quote" the person you are asking....otherwise no one is going to know if the question is for them.
