Paypal Deposit Verfication
 

Is anyone experiencing a delay in the small deposit verification into new bank accounts? I have waited over 4 or 5 business days and yet to see it hit. I tried to resend the deposits by manually entering the numbers again, but it came back as already added. Should I remove the bank completely and try again? Or would that flag that account for no use?

What bank?

What time of day did you start the first transfer?

If you started the transfer say after close of business like 20:00hrs, the countdown does not start until the next business day. Weekends are out, for some banks.

Have been some comments about delays.

Something sounds off. Micro deposits come through on the next (business) day for me. Just had to verify 3 accounts last week and all 3 sets of micro-deposits came the next day.

Normally, they are quick to come through. This one is lagging badly.

Doesnt sound normal.
Out of curiosity - are you able to do instant verification with PNC? and if the answer is yes why didn't you? Makes life much simpler.

Also today is a Holiday in the US, so Banks are closed, any withdrawals from Paypal that would normally deposit today will be in your bank tomorrow

I was about to say the same thing, keep a USPS Holiday schedule on a Bookmark or something.

I did have that option. I feared that PNC would allow the cross reference show a mismatched name to Paypal and cause a limitation.

I ended up removing the account from the Paypal. I reapplied the same numbers and I am going to wait it out. I will update the results for future reference if someone were to encounter the same problem.

If you don't get micro deposits than do the instant verification, i been using instant verification for 3 years and never any issues.

Its a 3rd Party that does the verification and i think they verify that you were able to log into your account and do not verify if the names match. Because if they did a name match id never have verified one account the last 3 years.

But the delay is probably due to the long holiday weekend

Well, the retry on deposits failed again. I unlinked the account and tried to resubmit it. I am completely lost why they wouldnt send a deposit, or it failed to show in the account. It is a savings account.

As for the instant verifications, it makes it to the final details step and just spins and never processes. I waited 5 minutes for it to finish with no avail.

Will the account survive if I dont attach a bank account and just buy out the funds through purchases? Or will that fry the account?

Just another update. The small deposit verification did not work. I believe if it fails and you unlink and link back up, it nullifies the process.

The instant verification has finally worked. I noticed if it slows down at the last step, then scroll down and it will say server not available. Eventually, when it does work, you will not be able to scroll down that extra page it generates and the finish up will appear. Looking for that second page that is visible without scrolling will save anyone waiting. It took around 6 tries for it to work through a VPN.

Thats your internet connection that is giving you these issues, not paypal

Are you selecting savings on paypal also when doing instant verify. If it's a savings account and you select checkings that's where it fails.
