Are stealth accounts any good outside of US?
 

Hi.

I am a few months old on this forum and I have a question.

Stealth accounts are perfect. I love them. I now possess 2 of them and I am perfectly happy.

The only problem is cashout, the way to get the money out of the account - withdrawal.

I am not in the US and I believe there are many users here that aren't.

If moving the balance to another PayPal isn't the right choice (because PayPal understands and limits all the accounts), which is the perfect way to withdraw?

I mean Stealth accounts are useless unless you get the money out of them. I live in Albania, Europe. Any idea how to get the money out?

The only option as far as I know is to get a bank in the US, but as you understand that I cannot do.

Any ideas?

Try to use freelancer sites to transfer money from US accs to AL acc as some members mentioned about this method before.

Are you forced to have a .com ebay account?

I am an happy Italian stealther managing a few .IT account, selling on .com platform and happily withdrawing to my local bank or even on my cc since my country account allows to do so.

Can you do something similar?

I am now operating US stealth accounts and I cannot withdraw money to any local bank, because I need a US bank.

What should i do?

Why don't you start some "local" stealth accounts in order to attach a local bank?

I do not have a solution for the US accounts... you need a US bank....

I've heard around here that non-US citizens can get a US bank account by going to an international bank which has branches in USA and your country.

But ilcarletto's suggestion would be easier. You could keep the USA accounts you already have and maybe use the paypal balances to pay for things if you can't get US bank accounts. Then get some accounts set up in your home country. In many countries paypal will let you withdraw to CC, as has already been stated. I don't know about Albania but some do.

Basically, countries seen as high-risk or unstable by paypal are only given the option to withdraw to US bank accounts. Other countries can withdraw to a credit card, other can withdraw to local banks, and some can do both.

Buy gift cards from online vendors,then top up to your own country,s pp using prepaid gift cards.
This definitely works on US PP because you can top up PP account both from bank account and credit card.

My illegal amigo was able to open a Bank of america account with just his passport and a ITIN do u think you would be able to do the same?
I believe wells fargo also lets you, i'm not sure how well they are with ebay / paypal though

If you are having F1 (student) VISA and staying in the US, then you can open bank accounts at Chase, BoA, Wells Fargo ... (many friends of mine tried and confirmed). If you only have B1/B2 VISA (visitors) and visit the US, you can try to open at Citibank, as they are an international bank (1 of my friend's parent tried, and they can open the accounts with no problem) and some small banks like East West Bank. But the key is, you have to be present in the US to open any accounts.

I got the same problem with you. I need AU bank / US bank to withdraw my money. Still wacthed ur thread n really need solution

If you guys are asking for a Prepaid in the US.....not going to happen if you don't have a SSN and real info or even an address to get the card.

Some banks in the US can cater to non-US citizens. You may have to contact them to provide ID by post or e-mail - Harris bank catered to me as a Canadian citizen - might be good to research for overseas people.

HSBC also has possibilities but might need more money than normal to deal with them
