Paypal still holding my money after 90 days selling
 

Hi there,

So I have been selling on EBay for 4-5 months now.

My feedback is excellent 100% 32 feedback not a lot but hardly anyone leaves feedback.

I have over a $1000 in sales its been well over 90 days since my first item sold.

I am receiving instant payments with no issues.

However every now & then they will put a 21 day hold on an item for no reason at all, for example i sold a Laptop processor for $150 US no hold at all... Then i sold a laptop screen $120 US & they put a hold on it for 21 days...

Can someone tell me why some items they hold the money for 21 days & others its instant payment.

Its very annoying!

I noticed the items they hold the money on have the word *touchscreen* in the listing, maybe they deem anything *touchscreen* high risk or something?

Mysterious are EBay's ways.
No way to really know why they do so and it seem almost random at times.
Just give it more time and those holds will be gone eventually.

Yes the EBay / Paypal gods are very strange at times!

I have sold more valuable items on the same day with no hold at all.

As i said above I believe the word *touchscreen* gets them panicked & they slap in a hold... That's the only thing the held items have in common is the word *touchscreen*.

And yes all verified...

Its annoying but i'm not gonna call them and risk my account etc, just wondered if anyone had any similar issues etc.

Just Paypal trying to grab a little bit more interest on peoples money i guess! Any excuse!

Has this happen all last month. Account would hold small amounts and other large amounts were instant. There may be an algo calculating risk based on time performance.

The other major issue that came up was no pay later shipping glitch. I think this glitch and the hold are connected in some way. More than likely it is mismatched coding from the new performance standards transition coming next month.

Ahh I see whatever it is, its annoying!

I just sold some macbook air parts & again they slapped in a 21 day hold.

My feedback is perfect all above 4.8 & 100% always ship my products out same day or next day & still get stuck with a hold.

Very strange...

Hope they fix it in the near future.

Some of my items take 7-10 days to reach there destination add on another 3-4 days after delivery to clear the money its a little annoying.

Anyway maybe in the future the holds will dissapear completely, maybe not.

We will see!

I'm going through the same right now on an account.
PP is verified and confirmed over a year ago.
Selling history is over 4 months old and DSR 5.0 / 4.9
Multi-variation listing = £7 - £30
Labels are printed on eBay.
All sales over £10 is held for 21 days.

Someone doesn't trust me with double digits.
