I used paypal at home depot before at a-self checkout and you just enter in your email and password.
I also purchased sneakers at FootLocker this past summer. Which was nice, i didn't even know they accepted paypal until i got to the register, everything went right through, again just email and password, no ID or anything needed |
Re: Spend your Paypal money here! 4cabling.com.au - In case you need some cables. |

@ Dmshark25 - That's the first useful suggestion I've read in this thread. Someone is getting some new kicks tomorrow! I wonder if home depot would let you pay for big stuff with a stealth paypal. If I could use a stealth paypal balance to buy a brand new $5k zero-turn mower, I could easily convert that to actual cash. I think I may pay a visit to my local Home Depot this evening... |

| phaz0rz | 02-04-2016 05:01 PM | Re: Spend your Paypal money here! To answer my own question, it looks like it may be possible. This is on the website, don't know if it's the same in store. http://s24.postimg.org/yr2uk631h/adsf.png
It may even be possible to purchase online from them using a stealth paypal. They offer to ship to store so that would bypass the "stealth address" problem. I suppose it would be problematic when you go to pick up the mower and your ID doesn't match the paypal account though. Hell, I think I would get a f ake ID made for a new lawn mower. Still may be possible to make large purchases in store using paypal. I don't know, but it's an interesting possibility to ponder...
EDIT: On a side note, anyone else notice Home Depot's typo? |

| phaz0rz | 02-05-2016 02:50 PM | Re: Spend your Paypal money here! To anyone who was intrigued by my idea yesterday, it doesn't work. You may have been able to pay at Home Depot with stealth paypal's when the program was new but not anymore. I grabbed a few cheap things and went to a self checkout and selected paypal payment. Then I was prompted to register my paypal account for in-store use. I didn't try to do it but I'm assuming they would ask for ID proving I own the paypal account if I did. They were probably forced to start doing this when they started getting hit with chargebacks from stolen paypal accounts.
Anyway, it was worth a shot. :( |

When I tried to pay with Paypal at Home Depot I was prompted to register my Paypal account for in-store use. It was a stealth Paypal with bogus details so I did not get any further.
I might just go try at DG and report back.. |
