Need Advice Regarding Business
 

Hello all- First let me start by saying thank you to all those who post. Just by going through threads, I have learned so much.

Here is my issue. My wife and I have been selling high end footwear for over 2 years on a website dedicated to such. It is like a shoe marketplace, we just are sellers and have nothing to do with the company/domain.

Paypal has constantly busted our balls with reserves, rolling reserves etc. Two weeks ago, they closed every account we had. Claiming it was too high of disputes/claims etc.

I am ready with a new corp, EIN, address, phone, MAC, ISP etc. so I think I will be OK in setting up a new one. My main concern is, will they be able to link the new account when they see where the sales are coming from. FOr example, item sold on ____.com?

yes, they will see it and ban you instantly, you have to change domain name

Do you mean the name of my store? The domain is like the ebay of footwear. I dont own the domain. There are thousands of sellers on the site.

Yes it is possible for them to link you that way.
Have you considered using a merchant account to bypass paypal altogether?

I have considered a MA, the problem is the website we sell on will only let users use Paypal.

i thought it was your own website, but they will see it anyway.
You should make new seller accounts on the marketplace you sell, with differents paypal accounts, so when they suspend one of your account, you can continue selling

While it is POSSIBLE that PayPal might figure out that it is you, that is not guaranteed. Especially since others sell there as well. You seem to be ready to go for the most part, you mentioned: "I am ready with a new corp, EIN, address, phone, MAC, ISP etc." so the thing to add is, make all of your descriptions and pictures different, if using your own. If the site just uses their descriptions and their photos, then you should be OK as well.

You just have to understand that what you are doing may not work. But it also MIGHT work. I think your chances of success are better than 50/50. Maybe like 70/30. So, if it were me, I would go for it.

It's possible that they will link you. Were you able to get your money out of the first account? I would suggest simply making a new account and set it up how you had it before. 2 years is a long time, I am sure your ideas will take you to new areas in your venture.

Agree with Jeff unless they own the website they shouldn't see what your sellers account is, probably be fine if its a fairly big site

What shoe site is it?
I sell shoes and accessories outside of EBAY too.
I can possibly shed some light.
