Paypal has no debt!

I was just browsing through Yahoo Finance and I thought why not look up Paypal's balance sheet....

they make too much interest off the money they rob

Probably offset their profit to the debt, no doubt a good tax dodge!! and as cmbhuy states, making enough interest on the money they rob off people!

I wonder what that means for EBay's sheets then because up till a few months ago those two companies had all those figures on the same sheet. The whole point of them splitting was for accounting purposes. This obviously makes paypal a far more attractive company to invest in - but is it at the cost of ebay?

Oh yea that's why ebay didn't want the split until it was forced upon them... Paypal has been carrying ebay for a long time.

This is why I believe ebay will need to ease up on limitations and restrictions. Although if not careful they may end up like another ioffer.

I also, believe this is why some accounts have been magically re-instated.
Much harder for ebay to show shareholders profit.

Actually, you would not want to do business with PP if they were in debt....truthfully speaking

I will say this: PayPal truly knows what they are doing.

It's obvious they are a force to reckon with in the global financial transaction market.

I do hope one day that there will be another competitor that will put the pressure on them though.
It would be nice if another company would rise up and allow us users more options and possibly provide us with a better experience to avoid having our funds locked up so often.

They must do a lot of cooking, if you know what I mean.. ;)

We've already known that the whole stock market is rigged by the plunge protection team, so I really wouldn't put it past them just so they look good to investors.

No doubt some of these funds are obtained by withholding funds from legitimate users though.

Re: Paypal has no debt!

What most of us do not understand is that Paypal holds a massive Intellectual Property Value. Royalties are pouring in like the flow of the Niagara falls. Also, Paypal current costs are risk managements(yea, us) and maintaining and just now again some marketing. Paypal makes it money from OPM(Other peoples money) and gets a percentage of of all cashflow(our fees)

Also, paypal has chosen to ALWAYS use OPM even though they easily could use its own to NOT ACQUIRE DEBT even at an extremely costly rate. Example is Paypal business advances could bring in HUGE amounts of profit compared to interest earned as they are now but that also inherently is more risky, so they use a bank to fund and just take a percentage.

Paypal also has almost no measurable rate of investments.

Paypal, has kept to there roots and make money from OPM while obtaining nearly no risk or liabilities.

Paypal as a whole has no debt by plan and nature.
