Default PayPal limited due suspicious payments

Had an old, well established PayPal (around 1 yr old, verified with docs, all limits removed). Was receiving small payments into it, never had any issues except a couple of little scams. Recently, some of my customers decided that it is a good idea, and sent me 10 separate transactions during several hours, for the same amount, each as a gift, which obviously raised tons of flags. Now this acc is limited for 180 days, but I would like to appeal. What to do in order to get this acc back? It seems that if someone will send many gifts to another acc, it will be automatically limited? Seems like a nice way to sabotage PayPals!

Why would your customers suddenly decide to behave like that?

Sounds strange to me.

yep multiple gift payments does cause flags.
Doesnt matter if it is 1 person doing 10 transactions like this or 10 people doing 1 transaction each.

Paypal see it as you trying to avoid paying the fee's they charge to receive money.

Its highly unlikely to pass the appeal but still worth a try i guess since the account is gone anyway.
You will just be asked to provide the ID again to appeal, but that is when they do the 'extra checks' which i dont think ever pass imho.

Damn so it is true... too many gift payments can get you limited and suspicious to Paypal's eyes... You can literally destroy sum1's Paypal account by sending them multiple gift payments... Wow Paypal epic fail.

Guy wanted to send me some amount, but for some reason PP didn't allow to send more than 50 euro per transaction. So he sent several 50 eur transactions, and the it happened.

He probably had that 'cannot send payment right now' error
which somethimes can only allow small payments to go through.

should have just sent it the normal 'pay for goods or services' because the end fee would have cost the same as the full 2500 amount.

Did he send you the funds from same PayPal account or different accounts, that will make a big difference for your appeal strategy.

Update:

Called in again, they said the security decided it, and it is permanent, no any reasons or soever. That monkey also said that my account got linked to the account that sent me funds! Omg what do they smoke in there... PP gets more and more ridiculous every day.

Yes, he was limited at the same moment. So PP scored a goal again.

Why not create legit invoice and pay the fees? Seems like you tried to avoid little fee here and there and now blame the "monkeys" for "scoring" an "epic" goal again.

Not saying that you do this all the time, BUT seems like you do like to blame it on the boogie... More often than not.

Please carefully read again what I've written. It is not me who wanted to avoid fees, but some customer, who did that, without asking me what payment type to use, and killed my acc! I am personally perfectly fine to pay fees and never do anything to avoid them, as their monkeys still need to eat between blocking accounts. But it seems that they kill fully legit accounts if it receives "wrong" payment, even though I claimed I don't even know where do these payments came from and I would be glad to refund them.

Be careful who you give you Paypal email to, they could destroy you for something stupid. Paypal should fix this.

OMG people, can't you read two lines of text? I perfectly know how to do stealth, and that sending gifts leads to a suspension. The issue is that my customer sent me many wrong payments, and before I managed to return them, I got indefinite suspension without any way of appealing it.

Unfortunately this is not the case, and fully verified year-old PP is a toast because of some unskilled customer of mine. The rep on the phone said they've linked my acc to his acc, so fighting for this acc is now senseless.

Are you sure he didn't do this intentionally?

No, because he lost the acc he was using as well, and he also sent me funds that now are lost as they are frozen in this account. Sending and wasting 500 euro does not seem like a planned attack, so I assume he just didn't understand what is he doing and what could be the result.

No, I've contacted PP, and they told that nothing can be done about this account, as "security has decided it, and this decision is final". So I can't do anything in this account, and refunds do not work as well. And PP cant do anything either, as if the acc is limited, they start being rude and totally unhelpful.
