Withdrawing funds 180 days after Paypal account died
 

Hi all,

Quick question. My Paypal died around 7 months ago, and I have a positive balance I'd like to transfer to my account.

Is it fine if I log in from my normal User account on my computer which has been suspended? Because both accounts are dead it shouldn't matter right?

i wouldnt risk it in case that stops you getting your money out.

what ever you do, when you get the email stating your funds are eligible to withdraw, dont just add a bank account.

Check the resolution centre first, because most 180 day limitations lately are still being blocked from withdrawing, to force you to call in and thats when they request ID again.

It stays like this, which still prevents you withdrawing.

OK I didnt get the email saying I can withdraw my funds, but I got suspended back in June.

Do you always get an email saying you can withdraw?

Usually they will send out an email letting you know you can withdraw, did you get the first email letting you know the paypal would be limited for 180 days?

They sent me the 'parting ways' email. When I called them they did say I could withdraw after 180 days, but not in an email.

The parting ways email will say the 180 days.

You should also get the email when your funds are available to withdraw.

its 180 days since your last payment received not from when you get limited ( I think) im sure someone will be able to confirm if that's right or wrong.

I bet it is haha!!

Just before you add a bank, check that the resolution centre first and make sure there isnt a CROSS over the 'withdrawal' part.

So my 180 days should have been over on 10th Jan. Still no email saying I can withdraw. Have Paypal just stole my money?

Maybe send them an email explaining to them that 180 days has passed and you would like to withdraw your money.

If the person who receives your email is in a good mood, they will fix it for you so that you can withdraw and will send you an email to confirm this.

In the past I have used the message centre on pp website to let the know 180 days has passed and I would like to withdraw my money as no problems have been reported etc. - within a few days it gets fixed.

Things change so might not work, but I see no harm in trying - maybe a few times

Does not really matter because you are already restricted and they know this.
