Any formula from 21-day-hold to instant cash
 

I know it takes time.


Ebay may want to how many successful translations before you can make it instant payment.


I saw somewhere, but forgot.. there is a list of things to do before paypal will make it instant..

Anyone knows?

I believe there are 3 conditions:
1. 90 days from the date of the first sale.
2. 25 successful transaction (or 25 positive feedbacks - not sure which it is).
3. a Total of over $250 in sales.
Mind you these are only the minimum requirements and they are not obligated to remove those holds if they dont wish to for whatever reason. And even if they do remove those limits they can be placed on the account again at any time for any reason they see fit.

If you are selling on eBay.com, eBay.ca, and eBay.cafr, your buyer's payment will first show as pending in your PayPal account if:

You have a limited selling history, meaning you have:
90 days or less from your first sale, or
25 or fewer transactions, or
US$250 or less total sales since your first sale, or
You have a Below Standard rating in your Seller Dashboard, or
You have unusual account activity such as a sudden incidence of Buyer Protection case

This hold is so annoying. Specially when you want to use the money you are getting for dropshipping... It has made me lose so much money since I went back to eBay/PayPal...

You need to be thinking long term.
You might 90 days is a long time but if you open up several accounts and get all of them going at the same time and spread your sales across them (which is how it is supposed to be done as far as Im concerned) then after those 90 days you have a solid base for operating on ebay and you keep introducing more accounts into this cycle so you have backup accounts in case one goes down.
Stealth takes patience and long term thinking. If this is not something you can handle then youll have problems with your operation... 'Turn and burn' operations dont do well and definitely dont last long.

i actually like the 21 days holds because it locks away my money and keeps me from scaling up to quickly. it's also good to have some reserve cash saved away just in case.

PayPal holding my money it is not really "reserve cash saved" from my point of view...

If you don't absolutely need the cash sometimes it's nice to have the hold. I just like to forget about the money and just be happy when it comes in. In my experience with physical items the release it pretty quick if you update everything like the shipping and stuff.

I think there is a way to get around the 21 day hold if you're crafty and tricky enough. But, it's not always worth it because depending how it goes your 60-90 day hold could turn into a 180 Day hold if you don't do it right and get limited.

PayPal re-evaluates your account every 35 days. If you follow the guidelines outlined in this article and your account remains in good standing, your available funds may not be delayed and you’ll have happier customers.

Paypal can do what they want, when they want. This includes reinstating holds whenever they deem it appropriate to do so.

And what do you do? Risk an entire account for a 21 day hold? If you aren't scamming and know what you're doing then you will be fine. I'd rather wait it out then risk getting limited and losing a Phone, Bank, CC, the IP, etc. When you weigh the pros and cons, it isn't worth it unless you have no other options.

Have a main accounts and make back ups. Once you have the back ups made slowly move funds into it to meet the requested limits. Sometimes I have accounts that never receive a 21 day hold on my transactions. Or they hold only the first one. PayPal is weird, but they always have their reasons for what they do.

21 day hold is not too bad, just need to ship fast and load the tracking. It will release after 2-3 days of delivery.

Also, I'm see that the 3 rules above may be ok when you stick to one category. But it you start to sell in other categories, you may see these holds again.

ship same day. apply tracking quickly. You can get instant after 60 days now I believe.

not exactly true...There may be a dollar amount associated as well. I had a few high dollar items sell and still have holds well after 6 months of good standing.

I believe the magic number is 25 successful sales, $200 in sales....or something along those lines.

For your ebay sales to stop having the "21 day hold", you have to meet the following criteria:
Been a seller for 90 days (doesnt start until your 1st item sells)
25 transactions on ebay (if someone buys 10 items from your BuyItNow listing at the same time then that only counts as 1 transaction)
$250 in ebay transactions

Sellers should use this 90 day period to sell low risk items and bust their butts to get things shipped out ASAP. This is a great time to strengthen that account before trying to make a killing with it.
