Watch your bank accounts!
 

Hello all, I was just checking my bank account, wells fargo (old one from my first ebay).
Someone must have gotten into my online account and added a paypal account, I still have my original PP account attached to this account so I'm not sure why Paypal didn't catch it.

They tried to make a few purchases, It would have went through if I didn't catch it.

I'm changing all by banking usernames & passwords now.

Always think before you enter some private data on questionable websites and public PCs.
And check for keyloggers.

Damn hackers. This happen to my girlfriend a few days ago. Tried to wire to a US bank account.

You should also call paypal and talk to customer service. Based on the account number that was added into the bogus paypal account they can probably track it and shut it down.
The sooner the better.

We here are especially vulnerable with our multiple PP and Bank accounts. Wells Fargo did warn me & make me agree that I am not the one doing this for financial gain. I would hate for an account to get hacked like this if I had multiple accounts with them & all different Paypal names depositing money. it would be Hard to explain. ( I tend to be the Paranoid type). I was able to see the Paypal account name.

I had my eBay + Paypal accounts hacked about a year ago... The guy just changed the PayPal email for payment in the eBay listings and changed the contact number on Paypal. I don't know how eBay AND PayPal allowed this to happen...

I realised only after I didn't receive any of the money. I contacted the buyers and got them to open cases on Paypal... eBay agreed that my account was hacked because they saw that the Paypal was changed from an IP from another country. However, good old eBay suspended my account because of "risk" and Paypal wanted me to pay the amount they lost on eBay because they couldn't get the money back from the hacker's account. Wasn't my fault. I didn't pay them and I said that I wouldn't be responsible for something that wasn't my fault... They suspended my Paypal account!
