It looks like TD would be able to help, since they have branches in both countries.

EDIT: The person does say they are a Canadian citizen but a USA resident. But in the reps response she says you only need two forms of ID just like at an American bank.

I've been curious about this too. Please let me know if you get anywhere with this endeavor.

yes it is possible, you do not require a ssn to open an account in canada either.

TD can technically do it by opening up with them on the US side.

Other Canadian banks tend to have you present yourself in a branch with ID.

I haven't tracked what other Canadian banks have spread to the US as well...RBC? Scotiabank?

What i have seen and heard about US citizens opening Canadian accounts is that you need 2 forms of id PLUSSSSSS

you must fill out a W9 with your US social.........

This is only if you do not have Canadian citizenship
