Anyone else freaked the **** out yesterday by Paypal?
 

So, apparently Paypal was down for several hours yesterday. I wasn't able to get into any of my accounts and there were rumors Paypal had been hacked. Some of my accounts had a few thousands $'s so I was a pulling my hair out the entire time.

None of my accounts were able to get past the login page, when trying to log in. You would get an error and be taken back to the login page, even though your credentials had been validated and you were technically logged in. This, for a little while, led me to believe all of my accounts had been closed. BUT, I noticed if I clicked "view transaction details" on an eBay transaction, I wasn't prompted to login to Paypal and instead was taken straight to the transaction details. So I don't know if just the summary page was down or what. But I was eventually able to withdraw all my funds by viewing a transaction's details, and clicking on the "money" tab from there.

This was actually the first place I checked when I couldn't log in. To my surprise nothing had been posted. So I figured I would make this public on aspkin in case anyone else was a nervous wreck yesterday, or in case anyone else is having the same issues today.

I had the same issues. You always assume the worst. It's part of being a stealther

First port of call is always to check if the website is down.

I thought there would have been panic on here but no one else reported issues.

Nope was fine for me. Might have just been servers in your area. I was though having issues with this site...lol

Strange... was logged into many stealth paypals through the day and no sign of any issues.

Very strange that is wasn't site-wide. I guess it must have been a localized issue but it's odd that justsmile had the same problem being in UK. I guess Paypal stores accounts on multiple servers and some of them were unavailable yesterday.

I dunno, but it was scary.

I've also been having issues with aspkin. Pages are timing out when I try to post a reply on a thread, but the post still goes through somehow.

Yes had issues logging into 2 normal accounts. Called paypal and they said some server issues had caused a problem from about 4-5pm yesterday and it had affected 1000s of accounts

On a Friday morning?!?! Must be nice, LOL. I was up to my neck in shipping labels and thinking I wasn't going to be able to withdraw my balances to compensate myself for postage..

^^ They were having an outage. Seems to be fixed now though.

Also experienced outages and thought someone changed my passwords. O_O

I wasn't freaked out - few PPs that I checked on were ok

Definitely didnt affect every account, no problems here , also it seems from the chart it was just a small 2 hour window with most interuptions within just an hour window

I logged in to multiple accounts several times each yesterday and had no issues at all.

How can you use netfilx and chill in the same sentence i would rather lay face down on the side walk on a hot Texas day before logging into netfilx.

You probably have a chunk of money sitting in Paypal for you to freaked out. This maybe a warning sign for you to start withdrawing them... Just saying....
