Question about Tax ID Solution
 

I have a Chrome extension called Blur. It will create a mask or encryption of some sort (I really have no idea how it works, I don't know a thing about programming) for email address / credit card numbers / etc. This way, whatever site you are submitting your information to doesn't get the actual CC number or email address, but a "blurred" one that the extension has created.

Would it be possible for this idea to be applied to submitting a Tax ID to PP? The idea being that there would be a level between getting confirmation from the gov't that they got a Tax ID, but PP not seeing the real one to compare to a previously banned one?

It would seem that this is too simple if it would work... but thought I would ask.

Hmm... sounds good but I think it's not very likely for PP to implement such a thing.

Let's say there's a tool called "TaxMe". So one way or another PP would need to be in association with this app/service to get the encrypted Tax IDs from them.
But that's just confirmation for PayPal that "yes, this is a person or a company".
Which they already know anyways.

The thing is, that PayPal WANTS to know WHO EXACTLY is operating on that PP account. :)
