Filing a bunch of PayPal buyer protection cases a problem?

(Same as my EBAY question on the EBAY forum - this one's about PayPal.)

I've done a lot of buying on eBay lately, and there's quite a few transactions that sellers haven't given me tracking numbers for that should have been delivered by now. I order a lot of the same items, so the only way I can link up what I've received is by the tracking numbers. There are some packages I've received, that I don't know who they're from. I've looked into the return address names, and there's still some that just don't match up.

I just emailed the sellers of about 25 transactions asking for a tracking number.

If they don't send them, am I going to run into a problem if I open up 25 buyer protection cases?

Is there a quarterly/annual limit to the number of cases or the total value?

What if all the sellers who wouldn't give the tracking number earlier suddenly produce it, so the eBay cases are decided in their favor? I'm fine with that if they shipped me my stuff, just not sure if eBay would decide I was trying to scam everyone and ban my account.

Sounds like your in a real mess

It would be best to talk to the sellers and work out who's item is who. Nearly all sellers send items with invoices in, if not you can always ask them to tell what what sort of packaging they used to send the item

It's not fair on sellers who may have sent your item to open cases against due to no fault of theirs

eBay and PayPal also will have an issue with it. It seems very suspicious to be honest

25 buyer protection cases at one time is quite bad in the eyes of eB or PP

25 buyer protection cases in one go = scammer = account suspension

Better advise is just keep better track of what you are buying....

Maybe you can open a few at a time, wait until the case is closed and open the rest.

But I have heard to keep it under a certain percent of feedback or you will lose your buyer protection status.

I read some article online for someone who opened a lot of case on Amazon and his account was banned. He said that his opened cases totaled about 10% of his total purchase history. Maybe ebay is around the same percent rate.

And I would "BLOCK" you for saying that. The OP is looking for advice not comments like yours.

Even settled claims are taken into account if ebay get hacked off with the buyer.

How is one supposed to handle that when some noob sellers aren't uploading tracking numbers, aren't using a return address that matches the name on their account, and are sending goods identical to others that I'm buying? Then not responding to a request for a tracking number.

It's like sending an RMA in to a large company without writing an RMA number on the box.

I'm keeping the best track of everything I can, but if the seller won't give me something to go on, I'm not a mind reader.

I have 10 identical items that the shipment doesn't indicate who it's from. I have 15 that I've bought recently. Which came from which? I have no idea.
